Arrival by train:
From Wuppertal Hbf by S-Bahn:
Change from the long-distance train at Wuppertal Hbf to the S7 (direction Remscheid) or S8/S9 (direction Oberbarmen/Hagen) from platform 4/5. Get off at the next station (Wuppertal Unterbarmen). Leave the platform through the underpass (at the bottom of the stairs on the right). Then follow Plüschowstraße to the end and change sides of the street there. Follow the B7/ Friedrich-Engels-Allee 100 m to the left until Pauluskirchstraße branches off on the right. The entrance to the HD building is on the left-hand side.
From Wuppertal main station take the suspension railroad:
At Wuppertal main station, follow the signs to the city center. To do so, leave platform 1 through the new station building towards the city center. After about 100m you will find the stop of the suspension railroad on the left side. Take the tram two stops in the direction of Oberbarmen to the Landgericht stop. Go down the stairs to the left and then keep left and follow the footpath along the Wupper. Cross the street at the level of the Wupper bridge. Walk parallel to the Berufskolleg on the right along Haspeler Straße. Once you reach the forecourt of the Berufskolleg, keep left and walk along the narrow path between the HA building and the small parking lot. At the end of the path, pass the cafeteria on the left and use the entrance to the HD building.
From Wuppertal Hbf/Wuppertal Barmen by bus:
Take line 611 from Wuppertal Hauptbahnhof bus station in the direction of Lenneper Straße to the "Am Haspel" stop, or line 611 from Wuppertal-Barmen station/ or SB67 stop Alter Markt in the direction of Birkenhöhe Schleife/Hauptbahnhof to the "Am Haspel" stop.
Arrival by car:
From the A 46 freeway:
You can reach us by car by leaving the A 46 at the Wuppertal-Elberfeld exit and following the signs towards "Zentrum" or "Universität". After about 1.8 km you will see MC Donalds on the right hand side and turn left towards "Barmen". Continue straight ahead and turn right before the one-way street (nothing else is allowed at this point) into Haspeler Straße. Follow this road until you reach the traffic lights and turn left onto the B7. After approx. 150 m please turn around on the B7 (U-turn). Continue straight ahead and turn right into the second street "Pauluskirchstraße". The building in which you will find us is building HD.
In case you can't find a parking place, drive on the B7 in the direction of Hauptbahnhof. Turn left at the third traffic light (Mediamarkt) and turn left after the railroad underpass (see figure Arriving by train). Continue straight ahead until you reach the P&R car park. Leave the parking lot through the station building and follow the footpath in the sketch. As an alternative parking option, we recommend the parking lot at Wicküler City (entrance Mauerstr./ Haspeler Schulstraße at Fitness&More). To do this, take the B7 in the direction of the main train station. Please turn around on the B7 (U-Turn) between the second and third traffic light. Then turn right at the first traffic light into Haspeler Schulstraße and turn slightly right into the parking lot shortly after the railroad underpass. Leave the parking lot via Haspeler Schulstraße in the direction of the B7 to get to the Haspel campus (see figure Arriving by train).
Arrival by plane:
from Düsseldorf International
Take the "People Mover" to the airport long-distance train station. There take any train in the direction of
Düsseldorf to the main station. There change to
- S8 direction Hagen/Dortmund (35min) to Wuppertal-Unterbarmen or
- RE4 direction Dortmund (21min) to Wuppertal main station or
- RE13 direction Hamm/Westf. (16min) to Wuppertal main station
From the stop Wuppertal-Unterbarmen follow the description of the footpath. From Wuppertal main station follow the description "Arrival by train".

from Cologne/Bonn Airport
From Köln/Bonn airport take the S13 (12min) or RE8 (8min) direction Köln to Köln-Messe/Deutz. From Köln-Messe/Deutz with:
- RE7 direction Münster/Rheine (30min) to Wuppertal main station or
- RB48 direction Wuppertal-Oberbarmen (42min) to Wuppertal main station.
From Wuppertal Hauptbahnhof follow the description "Arrival by train".
